There are many reasons why people avoid a visit to their own GP or sexual health clinic and we understand these. However sexually transmitted infections (STI's) are on the increase and it is important to test and treat an infection before it gets any worse and before you pass it on to somebody else.

Saliva and urine tests

Order your STD test online BEFORE 4pm, and we will post your kit by next day delivery to your chosen address in a private and discreet package.

You will find within the kit a simple step-by-step process to ensure you take the correct sample. You will then simply place this sample into a pre-paid envelope or box and post them back as soon as possible to our labs. You can be assured that your sample will be dealt with at the earliest opportunity and as soon as we have your result we will let you know.

Blood spot tests (HIV Hep B, Hep C)

Similarly to the urine and saliva testing kit the blood spot kit has full instructions and is very straightforward. It's a similar process to a diabetic test. A small lancet makes a tiny pin prick on you finger and then you simply squeeze a drop of blood onto the test patches. Complete the test and post it back in the packaging provided.

Results:

You can choose how you would like to receive your STD test results, online via our secure server, by post or speak to one of our Medical Advisors who will give you the results of your STD test via a confidential telephone consultation. Which ever you choose, your information and STD test results will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.

Our specialist labs have a target to produce accurate results within 24 HOURS of receiving your sample. Once we have been informed about your results, we will send you an SMS and an email containing the words "You have a message from JX Health" (you have the option to choose the method of contact if you would prefer not to receive SMS or email - please remember to check your 'spam;' folder)

This method ensures confidentiality and allows you to access your results wherever you have internet access - 24/7 but only after you have signed in to your patient record via the username and password you have created during the ordering process.

You will find that your test results and fully explained in plain-speaking, jargon-free language, ensuring you fully understand your current medical condition. Our secure web servers are fully protected by SSL certification and the 128bit SSL encryption enables the information to remain private between our web servers and your web browser.

If your test is negative or non-reactive there is no further action to take however, re-testing might be recommended after a few weeks or months.

If you have a positive or reactive result further information and advice will be given with your result. Signposting to your local NHS services will be included. Straightforward antibiotics can be prescribed by our GP's if required. 7 day Chlamydia treatment is available free of charge, 24 hour treatment costs 45.50. If you have a reactive HIV test result you will need further testing from a specialist clinic and we will inform you of your nearest one.

Our Labs:

We use several laboratories that specialise in different types of testing. All are consultant lead CPA (Clinical Pathology Accreditation UK Ltd) accredited and also operate in Europe and America. They work to their own strict guidelines and those laid down in National Quality Assurance Schemes.

Confidentiality:

The information you provide at sexualhealthtests.co.uk is totally confidential, and is not released to any third parties, including your own GP (unless you request and provide us with written consent). As we are not connected to the NHS your involvement with us will not be included in your NHS records.

Conquest Health, as a private healthcare provider is registered under the Data Protection Act.

SMS messages, emails and banks statements will contain Conquest Health and as an enhanced medical services provider (we have lots of projects within the healthcare sector) this could appertain to a number of services and treatments.

Client confidentiality and discretion is assured at all times. Correspondence is sent discretely whether via SMS, post or email and telephone contact is never made unless specifically requested by you.

Support & Counselling

Sexualhealtests.co.uk is primarily an STI testing website and we can only give limited support, advice and treatment. If you require specialist advice or counselling you will need to seek your local services. Sexualhealthtests.co.uk is linked with www.counsellingonline.org.uk, an online counselling facility with specialists in all fields who offer online, email and telephone counselling sessions. For all positive or reactive STI test results we will signpost you to your nearest NHS clinic for further treatment, we will also information of any treatments or services we can offer you remotely.
